Just 84 days to the Stockholm Jazz Festival!

The Stockholm Jazz Festival takes place between 10-12 June 2010.

Now this is your opportunity to combine listening to some of the best jazz from all over the world in a beautiful setting on one of the Stockholm archipelago islands called "Skeppsholmen".

The actual location is the Museum of Modern Art (bus 65 to Skeppsholmen).

Kick back with an icecold beer in the grass and enjoy Wayne Shorter, the Brand New Heavies, Gretchen Parlato.... and artists are being booked up as we speak.

Stockholm has a history of jazz artists loving the place, coming for gigs and staying for a while. John Coltrane, Dexter Gordon, Miles Davis, Sonny Stitt, Gerry Mulligan, etc etc. Just look at some of the recordings made in Stockholm. Coltrane even titled a song called 'My dear old Stockholm'.

Unexpectedly, jazz is so alive in Sweden that people come from all over the world to enjoy jazz education here, in favour of some of the best educational facilities in the US.
