Logitech Lapdesk N700

Most people with a laptop will be looking for a cooler to prevent it from overheating. The Logitech Lapdesk N700 might just be the right one as it certainly offers a lot – it just isn’t suitable for me.

Personal experience

It is a jungle trying to find the perfect laptop cooler. As my laptop’s own fan is quite loud and kicks in after only a few minutes work – and furthermore delivers a very poor sound I thought that this might just be the perfect one for me as it comes with built in speakers. I purchased it – and though it wasn’t among the cheapest ones – it is worth the money despite it not being optimal for my usage.

I’m quite small and mainly use my laptop on a desk with a little mouse on the actual computer. That combination is not what the Logitech Lapdesk N700 is made for. Because its lifts the back end of my computer quite a lot the mouse simply slides off and unless I want to sit on a pillow the screen and typing position doesn’t fit me. It however fits my boyfriend perfectly so one who is taller than me (1,65 meter) and doesn’t need a mouse on the laptop would find this very comfortable.

If I move it away it from the desk and use it either on my bed or on my knees it is just perfect. It is well padded underneath and lays comfortable on the knees. During a soft surface like the bed its curved shape makes sure that the air gets out without causing any problems.

And the speakers? Well, they are way better than what my laptop has to offer.

If you are looking for a laptop cooler that fits up to a 16 inch laptop this might be one for you. If you use your laptop on your lap or in your bed this is ideal. If you want to use it on a table be aware that you shouldn’t be among the smallest people!
