Parrot AR.Drone - iPhone controlled quadricopter
It's a (model sized) quadricopter, you know - like a helicopter only with four of those spinning blades with game-like intuitive control. Then it has a video camera, so you see whatever there is to see from up there wherever that very cool flying thing is doing it's flying.
Did I mention that it communicates with your iPhone over a WiFi connection, which means that the range is pretty long.
So you've seen those model helicopters, with their remote controls with a gazillion buttons? It's not like you'd have to use the touchscreen on your iPhone to do things with those buttons. Judging from the video, it's more like the way you control flying in that Wii Sports Resort flying game - just gently move your phone and watch it fly.
So, are you thinking what I'm thinking? (take time to guess) Yes! Indeed! I was just thinking that the company who makes these things won't need to keep records of where their customers live for market research. All they need to check is how many UFO spottings there have been
.
Btw; I've had my birthday last week. I'm not implying anything, just saying.
